SAN JOSE CITY — Anti-drugs operatives of this city conducted a buy-bust operation at Sitio Tanibong, Brgy. Abar 1st and killed a suspected drug peddler about 5 in the morning on Saturday (Feb. 9). The team, under the supervision of P/Supt. Heryl L. Bruno, San Jose City Acting Chief of Police, identified the suspects as Mark Joseph Villamar alias “Batak” and one unidentified male person.
Reports indicate the subjects sold a piece of a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing crystalline substances believed to be ‘shabu’ to a poseur buyer. When the suspects sensed that they were transacting with a police operative, they allegedly drew a short firearm and fired upon the operatives prompting them to retaliate which resulted in the instantaneous death of Villamar.
His cohort was able to escape and sped-off using a black Kawazaki motorcycle.
Visible in the crime scene were two cartridges of cal. 9mm and one .38 revolver.
The operatives sought the assistance of Scene of the Crime Operatives and sent a flash alarm for dragnet operation for the motorcycle riding suspect that fled the scene. (RONDA Balita Online News)
