Drug pusher killed, 24 others fall in Bulacan police anti-criminality campaign

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — A drug pusher was killed while twenty-four other suspects were arrested in different police operations conducted by Bulacan police on Thursday (Aug. 22) and early morning of Friday (Aug. 23).

Bulacan Police Directo P/Col. Chito G. Bersaluna identified the neutralized suspect as Peter John Gregorio alias PJ, included in the PDEA/PNP watch list during a buy-but operation conducted by the San Ildefonso police in Brgy. Lapnit, San Ildefonso, Bulacan on Friday at about 1 a.m.

According to Bersaluna, based on the report of P/Lt. Col. Voltaire Rivera, San Ildefonso acting chief of police, the suspect and his cohort fired towards the Drug Enforcement Operatives (DEU) of San Ildefonso after the failed drug transaction which prompted the police officer to retaliate that resulted in the suspect’s death.

“The suspect’s unidentified cohort, wearing a blue jacket and jeans managed to escape on board a black Yamaha Mio, without plate number heading towards Brgy. Panclara, Candaba, Pampanga,” Bersaluna said.

Recovered on the crime scene were six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of “shabu”; one (1) caliber .38 revolver and buy-bust money.

Moreover, Bersaluna said that nine other drug suspects were arrested in different anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the City of SJDM and San Miguel Police Station.

The following suspects were arrested while caught in the act of selling illegal drugs to undercover agents were Arnold Feliciano, Fernando Victoria, Nikko Adriano, Edmon Pascual, while caught in the act of sniffing shabu were Marry Grace Espada, Eugenio Fulgosino Jr., Reymond Bartolome, Paolo Ancho, and Jeson Josol.

Seized were thirteen heat-sealed and one cut opened plastic sachet of “shabu”, buy-bust money and assorted drug paraphernalia.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory for appropriate examination, while criminal complaint for Violation of Section 5 and Section 11 of Article II of RA 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002) is being prepared for filing in court.

Meanwhile, elements of Santa Maria, Haganoy and Marilao police responded in different crime incidents that resulted to the arrest of four suspects identified as Donato Barotil II, Severino Barayuga Jr., Ricky Del Rosario, all arrested for direct assault, and Roberto Santos Jr. fora crime of Acts of Lasciviousness and Violation of RA 7610.

On the other hand, eleven wanted persons were collared by the tracker teams of San Jose Del Monte, Bocaue, Marilao, Calumpit, Malolos, Angat and Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB).

Bersaluna identified the fugitives as Josel Dongon, Jaybee Javier, Ruel Barcelona, John Vincent Arroco Florendo, Alfred Sedillo, Nenita Buenaventura Cayosa, Regina Sararania, Elsa Falcon, Arman Provido, Clifford Zapanta, Johndel Turla,

“Bulacan Police is stern on the implementation of Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations with emphasis on the intensified campaign against illegal drugs otherwise known as “Project Double Barrel Reloaded”, Manhunt Operation against Most Wanted and Wanted Persons and all other forms of criminality,” Bersaluna said.
