BALIWAG, Bulacan — One of the three robbery hold-up suspects was arrested in the follow-up operation conducted by Baliwag police in Brgy. Subic on Thursday evening (May 27).

Based on the report of Lt. Col. Jayson San Pedro, Baliwag Chief of Police identified the arrested suspect as Isagani Mendoza y Gamba, 38 years old from Plaridel Street, Brgy. Subic in the said town.

According to San Pedro, at about 5 p.m., Mendoza together with his two cohorts entered Alfamart in Brgy. Makinabang, Baliwag, pointed their guns at the workers, instructed to open the cash drawers, and took the cash.

One of the victims was instructed to went upstairs at the storage room to open the vault and took the money.

Thereafter, the suspects fled after taking away cash worth P38,000, P500.00 worth of gift certificates, calling cards worth P1,700, 60 packs of assorted cigarettes, 40 pieces of assorted chocolates, 20 pieces of candies, and 3 pieces of condoms.

Suspect Mendoza immediately fled onboard a Black Mitsubishi Montero Sport bearing temporary plate no. BOQ790 while the other two unidentified suspects fled onboard a blue and gray Yamaha Mio i125 motorcycle without plate number.

A follow-up operation was conducted that resulted in the arrest of Mendoza and confiscated/recovered from him were .38 caliber revolver MOD Luger with serial no. 50478, one 38 caliber revolver Philippines with serial no. 180942, nineteen .38 cartridges, fifty-four 9 mm fired cartridges, two 2 improvised plate number NL3313, two blue jackets, two red and black ballcaps, one gray jacket with hood, two cellphones Samsung and Nokia, one cartridge holster, one blue Jansport backpack, one Apple sling bag, a Human black pouch, 1 black coin purse, 1 Stevens sling bag, two (2) plate number CDI7913, a permit to transport ammunition, cash worth P11,190, and the vehicle used by the suspect Mitsubishi Montero Sport bearing temporary plate no. BOQ790.

Cases for Robbery and Violation of RA 10591 against the arrested suspects are now being prepared for filing while the continuous investigation is being conducted for the possible arrest of the two at-large suspects. (RONDA BALITA Online)

  1. What about illegal possession of fire arms,? The vehicle, does he owns it? If not add carnapping too, falsification of public documents too for the fake plate nos.
