CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Two suspects were arrested in a follow-up operation for allegedly selling goods that had been stolen from a church in Brgy. Muzon, City of San Jose del Monte on Wednesday morning (May 13).
Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan Provincial Director identified the arrested suspects as Jose Moreno y Angeles, 28 years old, a resident of Zone 1, Disquitado St., Brgy. Muzon, CSJDM and Lazaro Olvis y Castante, 26, a resident of Pandi, Bulacan.
Based from the report of San Jose del Monte police on Monday, the IRM Evangelical Church in Daang Barrio, Brgy. Poblacion in the said city was robbed and some musical instrument were stolen.
Rev. Richard Que, 62 years old, pastor of IRM Church, received an information that the suspects were selling musical instruments such as organ, microphone receiver, speaker and mixer which amounts to P100,000.
Rev. Que made verification and positively identified the musical instruments were owned by the church and reported stolen.
The victim immediately reported it to the authorities and promptly, personnel of SJDM police together with the barangay officials conducted follow-up operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of the other stolen items.
“Criminal Cases of Robbery and Violation of PD 1612 (Anti-Fencing Law) against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court,” Cajipe said.
He added the Bulacan PNP despite its multi-tasking efforts in the fight against this pandemic COVID 19 will remain vigilant and relentless in the campaign against all forms of criminality. (RONDA BALITA Online)
