2 drug peddlers slain, 7 other suspects nabbed in Bulacan buy-bust


CAMP GEN ALEJO S SANTOS Bulacan — Two drug pushers were neutralized, while 7 other drug suspects were arrested in buy-bust operations conducted by Bulacan police on Sunday (March 10) and Monday morning (March 11).

P/Sr. Supt. Chito G. Bersaluna, Provincial Director, Bulacan PNP identified the fatalities as Eric Gonzales Y Basangan alias Bukol, of legal age, married, jobless, a resident of Brgy Poblacion, Plaridel, Bulacan; and Manny Paguia y De Jesus alias Manny, of legal age, male, a resident of Brgy Santol, Balagtas, Bulacan.

Based on the report of P/Supt. Satur L. Ediong, Plaridel acting Chief of Police, after the consummated drug transaction in NIA Road, Brgy Parulan in the said town on Monday at about 1:20 a.m. alias Bukol fired successive shots towards the police operative upon noticed that he was dealing with an undercover agent which prompted the law enforcers to retaliate, that resulted to the suspect’s death.

Recovered were 1 piece of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu; 1 Arminius Caliber 22 revolver with serial number 272233 loaded with five live ammos for cal.22; three pieces of fired cartridge cases (empty shells) for cal.22; 4 pieces fired cartridge cases (empty shells) of caliber 9mm, and buy-bust money.

Likewise, P/Supt. Gil A. Domingo, Pulilan chief of police, reported that alias Manny, hastily ran and engaged the operatives in a shoot-out upon sensing that he was dealing with an undercover agent after the consummated drug deal in Barangay Sto Cristo, Pulilan, Bulacan on Monday at about 1:45 a.m. which resulted in the suspect’s death.

Also recovered from the crime scene were 2 transparent plastic sachets containing crystalline substance and 3 pieces small heat-sealed plastic sachets of bluish crystalline substance suspected as “shabu”; one (1) caliber 38 revolver without serial number and buy-bust money.

Bersaluna added that 7 other drug suspects were arrested during the buy-bust operations conducted by Meycauayan and Bocaue Police Stations. They were identified as 1) Mary Rose Andaya Y Bernardo alias Rose; 2) Rismar Magpayo Y Lorico alias Antok; 3) Heidy Rodriguez Y Cleofe alias Heidy, included in the Drug Watch list of Bocaue MPS; 4) Gerry Gonzales Jr. Y Rodriguez; 5) Juan Paulo Morales Y Hipolito alias Pao Pao included in the Drug Watch list of Bocaue MPS; 6) Russel Gonzales Y Santos alias Praning; and 7) Allen Cipriano Y San Gabriel.

Seized were 15 plastic sachets of “shabu” and buy-bust money. The arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory for appropriate examination, while criminal complaint for Violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of RA 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002) is being prepared for filing in court.
