2 killed, 63 arrested in series of police ops in Bulacan

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Two drug suspects were killed while 63 others were arrested in the continuation of the Bulacan Police’s Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) conducted Wednesday night.

Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna, acting provincial director of Bulacan, said that a certain “alias Biboy” and a still unidentified suspect were killed in a buy-bust operation in San Rafael town.

“Both the suspects resisted arrest and instead fired their guns toward the operatives who retaliated and killed them,” Bersaluna said.

Recovered from the crime scene were .45-caliber and 9-mm pistols without serial numbers; several empty shells for caliber 9-mm and 45-caliber pistols, and a tricycle unit.

Bersaluna said that 31 drug suspects, including one minor, were also arrested in the towns of Balagtas, Marilao, Guiguinto, Bocaue, Bustos, San Miguel, Baliwag, Hagonoy, Calumpit; and the cities of San Jose Del Monte, Malolos and Meycauayan.

He said a total of 66 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, one plastic sachet of marijuana leaves and assorted drug paraphernalia and marked money were seized during the said anti-drug operations.

Seven suspects, on the other hand, were nabbed during anti-illegal gambling operations conducted by the Bulacan Crime and Detection Group in Hagonoy town.

One suspect was arrested in the implementation of a search warrant conducted by the personnel of the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company.

Bersaluna added that 24 wanted persons, including a Sangguniang Kabataan kagawad in Paombong town, were arrested in a series of manhunt operations. (RONDA Balita Online News)
