2 suspects killed, 9 others arrested in Bulacan anti-illegal drugs ops

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Two drug suspects were killed, while 9 others were arrested in different anti-illegal drug operations conducted by Bulacan police on Friday (Sept. 13) and early morning of Saturday (Sept. 14).

Provincial Director of Bulacan, Colonel Chito G. Bersaluna, identified the slain suspects as Lolito Baluran alias Dadam, of B7 L36, Phase C1, Francisco Homes, Brgy. Mulawin, City of San Jose del Monte and Lester Alonzo alias Pipoy, of Brgy. Maasim, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.

Based on the police report of P/Lt. Col. Rolando Castil Jr., city police chief, at about 5:45 p.m. on Friday in Brgy. Sto Cristo in the said city, a gunfight ensued when Baluran, a known pusher in the area, sensed that he was dealing with an undercover policeman, and promptly engaged lawmen in a firefight. He was killed in the encounter.

“Recovered from were a caliber .38 revolver that was still loaded with five bullets, eight plastic sachets of shabu, and the buy-bust money,” Bersaluna said.

In San Ildefonso, a police report said that in Brgy Maasim about 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, a buy-bust operation against suspect Lester Alonzo and his unidentified cohort, was undertaken.

But when they sensed that they were dealing with undercover operatives, they tried to escape but Alonzo drawing his firearm and firing at the operatives. This resulted in his death, while his cohort, wearing a black jacket, red bull cap, and black shorts managed to escape on board a Yamaha Mio, color blue without plate number going to San Rafael, Bulacan direction.

Recovered from him were nine small plastic sachets of shabu, caliber .38 revolver, and other pieces of ammunition and marked money.

“Other anti-illegal drug operations were conducted by the anti-narcotics drug operatives of police stations of Malolos, Balagtas, Obando and Meycauayan that resulted to the arrest of 9 drug suspects.

Bersaluna identified the arrested suspects as Michael Roque, Cesar Magdao, Ericson Montano, Cedrick Bael, Virgil Austria, and a 15-year-old minor suspect while Alvin Ramos, Edison Mendoza, and Joel Mendoza were nabbed in the act of sniffing shabu in Brgy. Malhacan, Meycauayan City.

“A total of eight plastic sachets of shabu, buy-bust money, and assorted drug paraphernalia were confiscated from the suspect during the operation,” Bersaluna added.

The recovered pieces of evidence and the arrested suspects were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for laboratory examination. (RONDA Balita Online News)
