3 drug pushers killed, 9 arrested in Bulacan buy-bust

CAMP GEN ALEJO S SANTOS, Bulacan — Three suspected drug pushers were killed while 9 others were arrested in different buy-bust operations conducted by Bulacan police on Friday (June 21) and early morning of Saturday (June 22), P/Col. Chito G. Bersaluna, Bulacan Provincial Director said.

Based on the report of P/Col. Rolando Castil Jr., City of San Jose del Monte police chief to Bersaluna, a buy-bust operation was conducted in San Jose Heights, Brgy. Muzon, CSJDM at about 1:55 am. on Saturday against the suspects Ljel Fabros and Christian Marcos, both in legal age.

After the consummated transaction, the suspects sensed the presence of police, they immediately alighted from their motorcycle and fired guns toward the operatives who retaliated. A gunfight ensued as the suspects were trying to escape in the grassy portion of the road causing the death of the suspects.

“Collected from the crime scene were cal. 38 Smith and Wesson w/o serial number, 9mm revolver Black Widow w/o serial number, black Suzuki Raider 150 motorcycle without plate number, 19 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and P500 bill marked money,” Bersaluna added.

Meanwhile, another suspected drug pusher identified as Marlon Cagampang was killed after exchanging fire with members of the Drug Enforcement Team of the Santa Maria in Brgy. San Gabriel around 1:30 a.m. on Friday.

“Cagampang was involved in the rampant selling of illegal drugs in the areas of Barangay Poblacion, San Gabriel, and Caysio, Sta. Maria, Bulacan,” Bersaluna said.

Recovered from the suspect were a loaded caliber .45 pistol with serial number P1737468, sixteen pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu, the marked 500 bill and SYM color blue single motorcycle without plate number.

Moreover, different buy-bust operations were conducted by the anti-illegal operatives of Balagtas, Malolos, Bustos, and Bocaue police stations that resulted to the arrests of nine suspects.

Bersaluna identified the arrested suspects as 1) Elmer Asebar Y Digal, 27 years old; 2) John Paul San Antonio y Clemente, alias Paul/Suka, 19 years old; 3) Glenn Santiago y Torres alias Glenn, 41 years old; 4) Jomar Paño y Sarmiento, 27 years old; 5) Editho Mendez y Valiente alias Chito, 32 years old, (included in drug watch list of Bocaue MPS); 6) John Lerry Enriquez y Darilay, 32 years old; 7) Sam De Mesa y Pamada, 45 years old and two (2) 17-year-old suspects.

Confiscated from the suspects during the operations were sixteen plastic sachets of shabu, 2 folded white paper of dried marijuana leaves, assorted drug paraphernalia and buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination while criminal complaints for Violation of RA 9165 are now being prepared for filing in court.
