3 sanitary landfills in Bulacan are now non-operational

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The three sanitary landfills in Bulacan are now non-operational.

Lormlyn Claudio, EMB regional director for Central Luzon recently told RONDA Balita that there are three sanitary landfills in Bulacan that are located in the towns of Norzagaray, Obando and the City of San Jose del Monte.

On the other hand, Emelita Lingat, DENR provincial officer for Bulacan said that these are currently non-operational.

Officials of Obando and the City of San Jose del Monte have also confirmed that the sanitary landfills in the areas have already stopped operations in the last few years.

Lingap noted that the sanitary landfill in Norzagaray town, the privately owned Wacuman Inc. has recently stopped operations because the road leading to it is currently undergoing repairs.

In the meantime, Lingap is suggesting to the clients of the said sanitary landfill to bring their waste materials to the sanitary landfill in Metro Clark in Pampanga-Tarlac area. (RONDA Balita Online News)
