3 slain, 56 arrested in 24-hour Bulacan anti-criminality drive


CAMP GEN ALEJO S SANTOS, Bulacan — Three drug personalities were neutralized while 56 were arrested during the 24-hour of Bulacan Police Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) which started on the midnight of Oct. 22, 2018.

Sr. Supt. Chito G. Bersaluna, Bulacan Provincial Director identified the suspects who slain during the buy-bust operation conducted by the City of Meycauayan Police as a certain alias Richard, male, with description of 5’5 to 5’7 in height, medium built, with fair complexion, between 28-35 years old; alias Niño, male, with description of 5’4 to 5’5 in height, medium built, with fair complexion, between 23-25 years old (identities still to be determined); while in Santa Maria was Noel Silvestre, 49 years old, a resident of Brgy. San Gabriel, Santa Maria, Bulacan.

Based on the report, both alias Richard Niño engaged the police operatives in a shootout when they sensed that they were dealing with an undercover agent in El Camino Road, Brgy. Perez Meycauayan City, on Tuesday (Oct. 23) about 1 am , while Silvestre resisted arrest after a consummated drug transaction in Kaybiten, D. Miguel Street, Brgy. San Gabriel, Sta. Maria, on Monday (Oct. 22) about 9:20 pm, drew and shot his gun towards the police officers that prompted the operatives to fire back that resulted in the suspects’ death.

Recovered from alias Richard and alias Niño were 6 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” with an estimated weight of 10 grams and street value of P68,000, a caliber .45 Llama pistol, a cal. 38 revolver Smith and Wesson without serial number, 1 cut-opened transparent plastic sachet with suspected “shabu” residue and buy-bust money.

While recovered from Silvestre were 3 heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” with an estimated weight of 1.5 grams and street value of P 9,000, a Cal. 22 revolver and buy-bust money.

Bersaluna added that 14 other drug suspects identified as Albert Pantaleon, Jovelyn Torres, Raffy Torres, Rolando Cunanan, Paul Ermin Hipolito, Francisco Salbevar, Emily Gusi, Rommel Domingo, Mario Francisco, Dexter Santos, John Patrick Oquindo, Resty Reyes, Florante Dela Rama, Micky Reyes were also arrested in the cities/towns of Meycauayan, CSJDM, San Rafael, Obando, San Miguel, Hagonoy, Plaridel, Santa Maria, and Angat and yielded a total 44 plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”, and buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, in other Police response Jobert Banate was arrested by Pulilan police for Multiple Rape in Brgy. Cutcot, Pulilan and Richard Durin was collared by Guiguinto MPS in Brgy. Sta. Rita, Guiguinto Bulacan for Acts of Lasciviousness, while 3 bettors were arrested by the Plaridel police while caught in the act of playing Cara y Cruz identified as Rodolfo Santos, Marcelo Bonifacio, and Richard Arnais.

Appropriate criminal complaints against the arrested suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.

Moreover, Bulacan PNP implementation of “Oplan Rody” gathered 31 ordinance violators including 15 minors overnight by the operatives of Plaridel, Bulakan, Balagtas, Pulilan, Baliwag, DRT, and Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC). Twenty-five were advised to go home, while 6 were turned over to barangay afterward.

Further, 6 persons wanted by law were arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest by the tracker teams of Doña Remedios Trinidad, Pandi, Meycauayan, Norzagaray and Baliwag MPS and Bulacan 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC).

They were identified as Tirso Sarmiento, 47 years old arrested for Violation of Comelec Election Code (Gun Ban) with recommended bail of P60,000 and Violation of P.D 1866 with recommended bail of P200,000; Joel Papiona, 42, arrested for Concealing Deadly Weapon with recommended bail of P3,000; Mario Mendoza y Rivera, 29, arrested for Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Serious Physical Injuries with recommended bail of P6,000; Christian Nicdao, 30, arrested for Frustrated Homicide; Gared Rebadomia, 30, arrested for Reckless Imprudence Resulting In Serious Physical Injuries and Damaged to Property with recommended bail of P2000 and Violation of Section 5 of R.A. 10586 (Anti-Drunk and Drugged Act of 2013) with recommended bail of P2000; and John Michael Cillan, 24, arrested for Violation of Section 16, Art. II of RA 9165 with no bail recommended.

“Bulacan Police is stern on its implementation of Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) with stress on its intensified campaign against illegal drugs otherwise known as “Project Double Barrel Reloaded” and Manhunt Operation against Most Wanted and Wanted Persons as directed by the Chief PNP and the Regional Director of PNP Region 3 Chief Supt.
