ANTIPOLO CITY — Joint operatives of District Drug Enforcement Unit and District Special Operations Unit of Northern Police District successfully conducted a follow-up buy-bust operation on Saturday afternoon (Aug. 8) in Sumulong Highway beside Flying V Gasoline Station in this city.
The arrested suspects were identified as Joseph Becona y Magkente, 24 years old, single, jobless, resident of No. 283, Purok Maligaya 2, Mambungan, Antipolo City, and Idilio Saldaña y Rivera, 59 years old, married, Production Supervisor, and resident of No. 230, San Jose St., Antipolo City.
The operation stemmed from the previous buy-bust operation of DDEU-NPD in the night of August 7, 2020 wherein a total of 1kilogram of high grade marijuana and 78 grams of kush were confiscated and one suspect was arrested.
Thereafter, through Intelligence driven and follow-up operation by operatives of DDEU-NPD, DSOU, in coordination with Antipolo Police and with the assistance of DMFB, NPD personnel, conducted a buy-bust operation against the suspects.
Upon consummation of the deal, operatives immediately effected their arrest.
Pieces of evidence seized from the possession and control of the suspects were: thirty-three pieces of cling wrapped bricks containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, one piece of genuine P1,000.00 bill incorporated with thirty-nine pieces of P1,000.00 boodle money utilized as buy-bust money, one unit cellular phone, one unit Honda Beat motorcycle color black without plate number.
Confiscated Marijuana leaves and fruiting tops weighs more or less 33 kilograms with standard drug price amounting to P3,960,000 were submitted to Rizal Police Provincial Office Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis. (RONDA BALITA Online)
