6 members of robbery group killed in shoot outs with police

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Six alleged members of a robbery group believed to be operating in Pampanga and other areas in Central Luzon were killed during a separate shootout with police authorities in Apalit and Bacolor, Thursday dawn (June 13).

Two of the four robbery hold-up suspects were killed during a shootout with joint operatives of Pampanga SWAT, Pampanga 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and Bacolor Municipal Police Station shortly after midnight in Brgy Cabetican, Bacolor, Pampanga.

Prior to the shootout, 2 cashiers of Shell Gasoline Station located in Brgy. Sta. Ines, Bacolor, Pampanga reported to Bacolor Municipal Police Station that they were victims of a robbery hold-up perpetrated by 4 unidentified armed men.

Two robbers were onboard a blue Toyota Hi-lux pick-up truck with plate no. XTF628 while the other members wearing black and blue helmets were onboard a single motorcycle similar to Yamaha MIO. The suspects carted away cash money worth more or less Php5,000.00 and one OPPO cellular phone.

Quickly, Bacolor police alerted all PNP units to conduct dragnet operation in Bacolor, Pampanga and nearby city and towns.

The pick-up truck was intercepted by police authorities while passing along Pasig Potrero Dike Access Road in said barangay. The suspects fired towards the police authorities and a shootout ensued which led to the instantaneous death of the duo.

Slain suspects were identified as Ariel Mogouil y Say-Ao, resident of Mabalite Tadian, Mountain Province and Dexter Tinguey, 21 years old, resident of Bermuda Hills, Brgy. San Carlos, Baguio City.

Recovered from the suspects were cal .45 pistol loaded with five (5) live ammunition, a cal .22 revolver loaded with 2 live ammunition, 4 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, 2 cellphones, cash money amounting to P2,420.00 and 1 OPPO cellphone (loots).

A few hours later, four unidentified suspects onboard a red Toyota Innova with plate number (NCF 4091) barged inside Alfamart located at Barangay San Vicente, Apalit town and at gunpoint announced a hold-up and immediately fled after taking all the money at the counter.

A hot pursuit operation was immediately conducted by Apalit police and the group was cornered along Timoteo Road, Sitio Dudurut-Paligue at Bgy. Colgante at around 4 a.m. wherein the suspects fired at the lawmen prompting the authorities to retaliate resulting in the instantaneous death of the vehicle’s occupants.

Recovered from the crime scene were two caliber .45 pistols, 1 9mm pistol, one (1) Toyota Innova bearing plate number (NCF 4091) and an undetermined amount of money.

PRO3 Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Joel Napoleon M. Coronel said that “Due to quick police reporting, we were able to locate these lawless elements promptly and the necessary police action was conducted. One criminal off the street accords citizens with sound sleep and I continue to appeal to our public to continuously help us in this fight.” (RONDA Balita Online News)
