CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Six suspects were arrested in different operations and 257 were gathered in the Oplan RODY (Rid the Streets of Drunkards and Youth) of Bulacan cops on Saturday (June 1).
P/Col. Chito G. Bersaluna, Provincial Director of Bulacan said that an anti-illegal gambling operation was conducted by personnel of Meycauayan City police in Barangay Saluysoy that resulted to the arrests of 3 suspects identified Jeffrey Pablo y Gavino, 35 years old; Marvin Rubio y Tumandag, 26; and Krisia May Guillermo y Del Rosario, 26. The said suspects were arrested after being caught in the act of playing illegal card game. Confiscated from the suspects were playing cards and bet money amounting to P1,000.
Meanwhile, a buy-bust operation was conducted by the operatives of Marilao police in Brgy. Poblacion 1, that resulted to the arrest of suspect identified as Ernesto Gomez Diaz alias Kumang, 52 years old. He was arrested after selling a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer. Confiscated from the suspect were 3 plastic sachets of shabu and buy-bust money.
Likewise, personnel of Meycauayan and Plaridel police responded in different crime incidents that resulted to the arrest of suspects Joshua Santos y Contreras, 22 years old, arrested for Violation of RA151, Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority and Violation of R.A 4136 Driving Without License in Barangay Tugato, Meycauayan City and Ralph Ramos y Galvez, 37 years old, arrested for Attempted Rape in relation to RA 7610 in Brgy Agnaya, Plaridel.
Further, 257 ordinance violators were gathered in the Oplan RODY of Angat, Balagtas, Baliwag, Bocaue, Bustos, DRT, Guiguinto, Hagonoy, Meycauayan, Norzagaray, Obando, Paombong, Pulilan, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, San Rafael, Santa Maria City/Municipal Police Station and 1st and 2nd PMFC.
Two hundred forty-six were advised to go home while 11 were turned over to barangay/given a stern warning.
