BALAGTAS, Bulacan — A family in this town with seven members including 3 minors ages 3, 7 and 9 years old were all tested positive of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The other members of the family were identified as Balagtas Covid-19 patient no. 47, 69 years old male; patient no. 48, 40 years old male and patient no. 49, 20 years old female, all residents of Sta Cruz Village, Barangay Borol 1.
They were all isolated and treated home quarantined in Barangay Borol 1st in the said town.
Barangay Captain Jojo Cruz said the patients underwent a swab testing on July 27 who were all had physical contact and possibly contracted with the patient no. 43, a member of the family who was first tested positive.
“It was learned that all of the said patients were asymptomatic,” the village chief said.
Meanwhile, Governor Daniel Fernando strictly instructed Cruz not to allow them to go outside as they were under 14-day home quarantine.
The governor also advised those who were undergoing home quarantine to use the “Suob” method or an old Filipino tradition using a blanket to cover the body with salted boiled water as nebulizer and continuous drinking of vitamin C juices.
Meanwhile, the Bulacan Provincial Health Office (PHO) recorded 37 new coronaviruses (Covid-19) disease positive cases as of Thursday afternoon (July 30) bringing up the total to 1,263 cases in the entire province.
The 37 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 coming from City of San Jose Del Monte with 11 cases, Meycauayan and Balagtas wit both 7 cases, Marilao with 5 cases and Calumpit, Angat, Bustos, Plaridel, San Ildefonso, Pandi and Bocaue, all with 1 case.
Despite the continuous rise of COVID cases in the province, Governor Fernando gladly announced that the PHO has also registered 417 recoveries while active cases are at 799 and with 47 deaths.
He pointed out that the province had improved its COVID cases as they recorded 70 recovered patients in the last three days, 23 cases on Thursday.
Fernando wants to make it clear to everyone particularly to Bulakenyos that the Bulacan Provincial Government is in full control of its preventive measures conducted as well as the initiatives to combat it and eventually kill the COVID throughout the province. (RONDA BALITA Online)
