BANGUED, Abra — A policeman was killed while a policewoman was wounded in a shooting incident on early Friday morning )Aug., 16).
The victims were Patrolman Jay Valdez Tabili and Patrolwoman Jemalyn Langgoyan, both personnel of Bucloc MPS.
Tabili sustained a gunshot wound on his head that caused his death while Langgoyan sustained gunshot wound on her abdomen but survived.
Based on the report the suspect is police trainee Joseph Langgoyan who is undergoing field training program at the Bangued MPS and the husband of Jemalyn Langgoyan.
In a police report, at about 1 a.m., personnel of Bangued MPS responded to a reported shooting incident that transpired at HRH Space Rental, an adjacent Building of Valera Medical Hospital located at Zone 7, Bangued, Abra.
During the investigation conducted by Bangued MPS, suspect Joseph Langgoyan went to visit his wife Jemalyn at her rented room and found out that Jay Tabili was with her causing him to be irked and shot them. Both were rushed to Valera Medical Hospital where Tabili was declared dead while Jemalyn Langgoyan sustained gunshot wound on her abdomen. She was later transferred to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment.
The suspect is now under the custody of Bangued MPS for documentation prior filing of appropriate charges against him.
The motive is believed to be a love triangle.
