CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — A member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan (provincial council) has tested positive for COVID-19.
Bokal Emily Viceo of the 3rd District of Bulacan sent RONDA BALITA Online a screen-grab photo of the Facebook post of Ramil Capistrano, barangay chairman of Caingin in San Rafael and the president of the Association of Barangay Captain of Bulacan, that confirmed he has tested positive for the virus.
In his social Media post on Monday he said “Ilang araw na rin po akong nakakaramdam ng flu-like symptoms, kaya minabuti ko pong sumailalim sa RT-PCR Test o Swab Test. At lumabas na nga po ang resulta nito…. akin pong ipinapaalam sa lahat na ako ay nag-positibo sa sakit na COVID-19.”
He added “kasalukuyan na ring isinasagawa ang contact tracing at hinihikayat ko ang lahat ng aking mga nakasalamuha mula August 11 hanggang August 20 na mag self-qurantine at obserbahang mabuti ang kanilang mga sarili. Kung may nararamdamang sintomas, agad na makipag ugnayan sa ating Municipal Health Office.”
On the other hand, Dr. Hjordis Celis, provincial health officer II of Bulacan, told RONDA BALITA that they are not authorized to release information on COVID-19 patients while the provincial public affairs office of the provincial government has not released any statement about the incident or what precautionary measures are being taken by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Meanwhile, the provincial public health office reported on Thursday afternoon that Bulacan has a total of 2,643 total confirmed COVID-19 cases with 1,230 active cases, 1,344 recoveries and 69 deaths. (RONDA BALITA Online)
