Alleged drug pusher killed in SJDM, 7 others arrested in Bulacan drug raids

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — An alleged drug pusher was killed in a reported alleged shootout with the Bulacan police in City of San Jose del Monte while 7 others nabbed in series of drug raids on Friday (May 16).

In a report reached to the office of Bulacan Police Director Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe, the slain suspect identified as Omar Garcia, legal age, resident of Brgy Assumption, CSJDM.

According to Col. Gil Domingo, Chief of Police of CSJDM, said about 10:30 p.m. on Friday, a buy-bust operation against Omar Garcia was conducted in Brgy. Assumption in the said city. After the transaction, the suspect sensed that he was dealing with an undercover operative and immediately engaged the operatives who were trying to arrest him and opened fire which prompted the operatives to retaliate causing the death of the suspect.

Bulacan Scene of the Crime Operatives team processed the crime scene and collected a sling bag containing the five hundred peso bill marked money, ten pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, one-piece unsealed plastic sachet with shabu residue, one 12 gauge cartridge, one-piece smith and Wesson cal. 38 revolver without serial number and loaded with six pieces of fired cartridges case and five pieces fired cartridges case of cal. 9MM.

Meanwhile, different buy-bust operations were conducted by the operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Municipal Police Stations of San Ildefonso, Marilao, and Baliwag police that resulted in the arrest of seven drug suspects.

Cajipe identified the arrested suspects as Elizarde Buenaventura y Aquino alias Longhair, 48 years old, included in PDEA PNP Watch list; Lenard Penia y Reyes alias Burnok, 26 years old; Jimboy Claveña y Ocampo, 18 years old, included in PDEA PNP Watchlist; Jomar Santos y Del Rosario, 31 years old; Bernardino Concepcion Benedicto alias Dino, 56 years old; Jayson Tangcangco y Roque alias Jay (included in PNP-PDEA unified drug watchlist), 34 years old and Armando Abesamis y Duque alias Arman (included in PNP-PDEA unified drug watchlist), 57 years old.

A total of eighteen plastic sachets of suspected shabu and buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspects during the operations.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination while criminal complaints about Violation of RA 9165 against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.
