PANDI, Bulacan — The local chief executive of this town opened the famous Amana Water Park to town frontliners who are battling the deadly disease — the COVID-19 as their temporary home amid the enhanced community quarantine.
Mayor Enrico Roque, the owner of the said water park, said the frontliners in the town of Pandi such as medical team police, military, government workers will be temporarily sheltered at this famous summer destination –which during this time of year would already be packed with summer tourists.
The step is seen to boost the morale of the medical frontliners as well as to prevent them from spreading the disease from their families, thus further curbing the said virus.
The town already recorded its first COVID-19 positive patient and a number of PUIs are under close monitoring by the local government.
Pandi mayor had an infamous tag a few weeks ago when he pioneered the “silya” method for the distribution of relief goods. Avoiding physical contact with residents and promoting social distancing.
The said strategy went viral on social media platform gaining utmost popularity and making some LGUs copy the said move.
