Army Storms NPA Terrorists in Bukidnon


MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon — Government troops of the 8th Infantry “Dependable” Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army had a skirmish against the elements of more or less 40 terrorists New People’s Army (NPA) belonging to the SDG Dario, SRC2, NCMRC in the hinterland of Barangay Busdi in this city, recovering four high powered firearms on Thursday (Aug. 15).

After receiving information from the locals, the army troopers immediately responded and engaged the enemy in a 50-minute firefight prompting them to scamper to different directions. Military troops were able to recover an M1 Carbine, M1 Garrand, M16A1, and AK47. After a thorough search in the area, an unexploded rifle grenade, 5 fully loaded magazines of AK47, 2 Backpacks, and subversive documents were also taken from the enemy hideout.

Lieutenant Colonel Ronald Illana, Commanding Officer of the 8th Infantry Battalion responded to the heroism of the “Dependable” warriors; “Another job well done! Congratulations to all of you. Let us do our best to hunt them down and save the community from their plan of recruitment.”

“To the members of the SDG Dario of NCMRC, surrender now to the government and we will help you to go home with your family; the government prepared a program for you to make your life better and safe.” He ended.

The Philippine Army will not stop in pursuing the NPAs to cut down their recruitment. The NPA is disintegrating and isolated; it is only a matter of time that they will be totally destroyed. (RONDA Balita Online News)
