CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Eight persons were collared by police authorities during an anti-illegal gambling operation launched in Santa Maria, Bulacan, on Tuesday
Around 1 a.m., joint operatives of Regional Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit 3, CIDT Bulacan and Sta. Maria police conducted an anti-illegal gambling operation in Santa Maria Square Cockpit Arena, Brgy. Sto. Tomas, Sta. Maria, Bulacan which resulted to the arrest of eight operators/maintainers of online cockfighting (sabong) streamed on www.tambayan.com.
Police identified the arrested suspects as Robie Dayrit, 30-year-old, married, operator, resident of 309 Lallara St. Velasquez Tondo, Manila; Jojit Duelo, 36, married, operator, resident of 3583 Clemente Compound Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela City; Banjo Silva, 31, married, DJ admin, resident of Pangao, Lipa City Batangas; King Daryn, 27, single, resident of Brgy. Pitpitan, Bulakan, Bulacan; Leo Santiago, 21, married, cameraman, resident of Madile, San Miguel, Bulacan; Ritchie Dragon, 32, cameraman/DJ, resident of Brgy. Sergio Osmenia, Zamboanga City; Vincent Gerona, 25, single, cameraman, resident of Brgy. Calamugon Bulan, Sorsogon; and John John Glodo, 23, single, cameraman, resident of Brgy. Calamugon Bulan, Sorsogon.
Confiscated from the suspects were computer gadgets and equipment used to operate online cockfighting.
Charges for violation of PD1605 in relation to Section6 of R.A 10175 are already filed against arrested suspects.
“We will continue to step-up on our illegal gambling drives and we vow to stop all forms of illegal gambling in the region,” PRO3 Director Amador V Corpus said. (RONDA Balita Online News)
