Bulacan has 13 new COVID-19 cases, 10 recoveries


CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The Bulacan Provincial Health Office (PHO) announced on Saturday (May 23) that Bulacan province has thirteen new coronavirus (Covid-19) disease cases including the two three-year old children, bringing the total cases to 165 with ten new recoveries since Wednesday.

The PHO also reported that Covid-19 related fatalities in the province has a total of 30 deaths and has 68 recoveries in total as of Friday afternoon.

The new covid cases were two children, a boy and a girl both three years old from the towns of Plaridel and Bulakan; a 53-year old male from Angat; 51-year old male from Guiguinto; 30-year old male and 29-year old female both from City of San Jose Del Monte; a 16-year old male from San Rafael; 33-year old male from Marilao; 36-year old male from Meycauayan City; 69-year old male from Baliuag; 37-year old male from Hagonoy and a 23-year old female from Sta Maria.

The PHO also reported that the province had 1,482 active suspects and two probable cases.

Governor Daniel Fernando said that only the town of Dona Remedios Trinidad from 21 town and three cities in the province that is still remain covid-free.

“The top 5 cities and municipalities with high number of covid cases were the City of San Jose Del Monte with 25 confirmed cases; Marilao town with 19 cases; City of Malolos with 18 cases; Baliuag with 16 cases and both Sta Maria an Bocaue with 12 cases each,” Fernando added.

It was learned that Bulacan has a total of more than 2,000 pending results and for swab testing cases.

The governor continue appealing to his fellow Bulkenyos to stay at home while still under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ). (RONDA BALITA Online)
