CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The enhanced community quarantine checkpoints all over Bulacan did not deter two detainees of the Provincial Jail of Bulacan from successfully escaping on Monday night and skipped their jail time.
Retired Col. Marcos Rivero, provincial jail warden of Bulacan, identified the escapees as Aris Cammayo, whose last known address is Block 7 Lot 36 Northville, Meycauayan who was jailed for illegal drugs and Jeffrey Cervando with last known address at Hipon Street, Barangay Siete, Caloocan City and serving jail time for robbery and illegal possession of firearms.
The jail warden told RONDA BALITA Online that the escapees sawed off the iron bars of their window in Jail Cell 17 on Monday night that is under watch by cell detainee chairman Rodel Chavez who only reported the matter to the jail guards 19 hours after the two have escaped.
Cell chairmen has the obligations to report any possible untoward incidents that may take place inside their areas of jurisdictions, Rivero pointed out and noted that there is a clear conspiracy between Chavez and the detainees of Jail Cell Number 17 and the two escapees.
Chavez and his team has been placed in “Bartolina” Rivero said and added that a special investigation is now being conducted on how the two were able to escaped.
After the jail break was discovered, Rivero said search and apprehension team “nahahati sa apat na grupo ang agad namin binuo sa Lungsod ng Meycauayan, Lungsod ng Caloocan, sa bayan ng Calumpit at sa Banga II Plaridel sa Bulacan.” (RONDA BALITA Online)
