CITY OF MALOLOS – A boy from Guiguinto town aged four to seven year old is the first fireworks-related victim recorded on Thursday in Bulacan for this Yuletide Season.
Records from the provincial disaster risks reduction management office (PDRRMO) of Bulacan showed that the unidentified boy has ignited a five star firecracker when he was injured.
No other details were provided by the PDRRMCO on the victim.
Meanwhile, Joy Gomez, provincial public health officer of Bulacan, told RONDA Balita Online News that they will be making a daily fireworks-related injuries report until January 5 in their campaign dubbed “Iwas paputok, community fireworks ang patok.”
Meanwhile, the PDRRMO of Bulacan also reported that 19 more community fireworks display areas were established in the City of San Jose del Monte (13), and the towns of Santa Maria (4), Marilao (1), and Pandi (1).
These raised the confirmed fireworks display areas that RONDA Balita Online News gathered to 37 with the earlier of one each in Malolos and Pulilan while 16 were reported in the town of San Rafael.
Meanwhile, fireworks stakeholders in Bulacan lament that the late release of the lists of these designated fireworks display areas would definitely affect their sales this Yuletide season.
