CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — The lives and stories of Bulakenyo heroes will once again be relived and retold as they take the lead role in the search for SINELIKSIK Bulacan DocuFest 2019 with the theme “Bayani ng Kanyang Panahon, Inspirasyon Natin Ngayon!”.

It is open to all Bulakenyos and each group should be comprised of no more than 10 members, must be a legitimate resident of Bulacan and have not yet received any awards or commendations from national or international film festivals in the past 12 months.

The said docufest aims to conduct comprehensive research about Bulakenyo heroes and their contributions to the history of the country and to instill in the minds of Bulakenyos their heroism and patriotism.

Governor Wilhemino M. Sy-Alvarado said that it is important to impart to the Bulakenyos the rich history of the province as well as the people behind those success stories that made Bulacan what it is today.

“Marapat lamang na maging maalam ang mga Bulakenyo sa kanilang kasaysayan, sa kanilang mahalagang papel sa mga kuwento ng pakikibaka at tagumpay sapagkat sa pamamagitan nito, patuloy tayong makahuhubog ng mga Bulakenyong, matatapang, may paninindigan at may malasakit sa bayan,” the provincial chief executive said.

In order to join, participants must submit three copies of their Research Paper, Script and Synopsis, three DVD’s with case and poster cover, soft copy of their document, 1-minute trailer, a poster, 10 Production Photos, 10 Best Stills, signed copy of terms and conditions and valid ID’s on or before April 5, 2019, at the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office.

Winners will receive P100,000 for Best Documentary Film, P30,000 for Best Research, P30,000 for Best Cinematography, P20,000 for Special Jury Prize and P20,000 for Best Screenplay.
