Bustos Dam in Bulacan releases water


CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Rising water made Bustos Dam officials raise its Sluice Gates 1 and 2 to release water.

As of noontime Tuesday the water elevation of Bustos Dam was monitored by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) of Bulacan at 17.47 meter as against its spilling level of 17.50 meter.

According to Liz Mungcal, PDRRMO chief said Angat Dam water elevation was recorded at 188.65 meters against its normal high water level of 212 meter and Ipo Dam at 101.09 meters against its spilling level of 101.00 meters.

Ankle deep to knee deep of floodwater were also monitored in several low-lying areas in the towns of Marilao, Bocaue and Meycauayan City.

Meanwhile, Localized class suspensions were declared in all levels in public and private schools in the towns of Marilao, Obando and Meycauayan cities due to heavy rains experienced in the said places on Tuesday. (RONDA Balita Online News)
