Cavite police nabs 21 in overnight anti-criminality ops


CAMP PANTALEON GARCIA, Cavite — Twenty-one lawless elements including 14 drug personalities were arrested in overnight anti-criminality operations conducted by Cavite police on Sunday (Jan 12) to Monday (Jan 13).

P/Col. Marlon R. Santos, OIC Cavite PPO said from January 12-13, 2020, Cavite PNP conducted six buy-bust operations that resulted in the arrest of fourteen drug personalities and confiscated a combined weight of 12.41 grams with an estimated street value amounting to P84,388.

A drug suspect identified as Fhared Abdurahim y Nuestro, included in the Drug Watch list was arrested by members of Drug Enforcement Team of Mendez PNP wherein they recovered suspected shabu weighing 10 grams with street value of P68,000 in Brgy. Galicia 3, Mendez, Cavite at about 5:50 p.m. of January 12.

On illegal gambling, two suspects were arrested while engaging in Tupada at Mabuhay City, Brgy. Paliparan 3 Dasmarinas City on Sunday at about 7:30 in the morning.

Five other personalities were apprehended for violation of Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide, RIR Serious Physical Injuries, Robbery, Qualified Theft, and for illegal Possession of Deadly Weapon.

Meanwhile, in Bacoor CPS, a reported self vehicular accident transpired involving a motorcycle resulted in the death of a rider identified as Jemchristian Bensay y Batula and injuries of his back rider identified as @Ley that transpired along Molino Road, Prinza, Brgy. San Nicolas 1, City of Bacoor, Cavite at around 1:55 in the morning on Sunday. Victims were on-board a single motorcycle as it swerved to the left side of the road then bumped on the concrete railings.

Arrested suspects and pieces of evidence were brought to Cavite Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (SOCO) for medical and laboratory examinations while Criminal Complaints will be charged against them.

“Cavite Police Provincial office though its relentless collective efforts, in its fight against illegal drugs and all forms of criminality, envisions a much safer Cavite and a more supportive community with these accomplishments, this vision becomes closer to reality as this PPO will gain more support from the community having the feeling that they could sleep securely each night,” Santos said.
