Central Luzon’s militant groups join protests against DU30s SONA


CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – An estimated 600 members of the militant Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay) from Bulacan has been monitored to join the protest actions against President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s State of the Nation Address yesterday.

Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna, acting Bulacan police director, said the Kadamay members joining the protest actions from Bulacan are mostly residing in their occupied-housing units in Pandi town.

Meanwhile, Chief Supt. Amador Corpus, regional police director of Central Luzon, said that aside from Kadamay, other militant groups in Central Luzon were monitored to join the protest actions against the SONA of the President in Quezon City.

Corpus said that he has also deployed a total of 410 PNP augmentation personnel for civil disturbance management (CDM) operations to ensure peace and order and public safety at Batasan, Quezon City.

He said that the CDM contingent that was sent to Quezon city are equipped and prepared to address various civil disturbance situations to protect and serve the government and the people with full respect on every right of the person. (RONDA Balita Online News)
