Couple arrested for online selling of stolen motorcycle

CAMP. GEN ALEJO S. SANTOS, City of Malolos, Bulacan — A couple were arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by Sta. Maria Police for online selling of a stolen motorcycle in Bypass Road, Brgy. Sta. Clara, Sta. Maria, Bulacan on Wednesday

P/Sr. Supt. Chito G. Bersaluna, Bulacan acting provincial director, identified the arrested suspect as John Philip Delos Santos, 21-year-old, a resident of No. 0123, Garahe St., Brgy. Lolomboy, and Ann Oblianda, 20, a resident of Boomtown Industrial Park, Brgy. Tambubong, both in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Based on the report of Santa Maria police, the victims identified as Narciso Dayao, 56, and Narciso Dayao Jr., 28, both residents of No. 478 Brgy. Lalakhan, Santa Maria, Bulacan reported that their black Yamaha MIO Soul with plate number 1044 RS was missing on July 3, 2018.

On the afternoon of July 4, the victims tried to contact the online seller who allegedly selling their stolen motorcycle and pretended to be an innocent buyer.

Upon seeing their missing motorcycle posted for sale in a Facebook Page “Bilihan Ng Murang Motor 10k Pababa” named to a certain Louie Espino.

The suspect agreed to meet them at the vicinity of Jollibee, By-pass Road, Brgy. Sta. Clara, Santa Maria, wherein the victims will trade-in another motorcycle and will pay an additional cash of P6,000.

Upon arrival at the aforementioned area, Narciso Dayao Jr, son of the victim together with the police operatives of Sta Maria, met with the suspect’s representative John Philip and Rachelle Ann, after the transaction, the intel operatives of Sta. Maria immediately arrested the couple and brought them to Santa Maria PS for further investigation and proper disposition. An appropriate criminal complaint is now being prepared against the suspects.

The recovered motorcycle is presently under the custody of Santa Maria PS, while follow-up operation is being conducted for the possible arrest of other carnapping personalities who are in connivance with the arrested suspects.
