CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — A Philippine National Police – Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency unified watch list was neutralized while 13 other suspects were arrested in an intensified anti-illegal operations conducted by Bulacan police on Monday and early morning Tuesday.
P/Col. Chito G. Bersaluna, Bulacan Provincial Director, identified the suspect who was slain during the buy-bust operation as Albert Monacillio alias Pugot, 37 years old, single, a resident of Little Baguio Brgy. Poblacion, Baliwag, Bulacan.
Based on the report of Baliwag police, the suspect and his unidentified cohort shoot-it out with operatives of Baliwag police after a consummated drug transaction in Brgy. Tibag on Tuesday about 12:30 a.m. that prompted the police authorities to fire back which resulted in the suspect’s death.
According to Bersaluna, the unidentified cohort of the suspect was managed to elude arrest on board a black Yamaha Mio Sporty without plate number heading towards the direction Bustos while firing his unknown firearm successively.
“Alias Pugot is a known supplier of illegal drugs in Baliwag and other adjacent towns,” Bersaluna added.
Bulacan Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) processed the crime scene and found 4 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of “shabu” with an estimated weight of .4 grams worth P2,720; one caliber .38 revolver and buy-bust money.
Moreover, Bersaluna said that 13 other drug suspects were arrested in the series of anti-illegal drug raids conducted by City of San Jose del Monte, Malolos, Calumpit, and Bulacan 1st PMFC.
He identified the suspects who were arrested while in the act of selling illegal drugs to a police poseur buyer as Jonash Fidel Blanco, Jerome L. Laneta, Erwin P. Liboan, Celestino B. Flores Jr., Roel Salonga, Roel Salonga, and Nehemiah Tanaka.
While Marjo Escote, Rosalyn Lim, Mark Anthony Cruz, Reggie Reyes, Mark Ranilo Pacheco, Michael Genetia were arrested while caught in the act of having a pot session.
Seized were eighteen heat-sealed plastic sachets and twelve heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of T-Bag of “shabu”; buy-bust money; and assorted drug paraphernalia.
“The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory for appropriate examination, while criminal complaint for Violation of Section 5 and Section 11 of Article II of RA 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002) is being prepared for filing in court,” Bersaluna added.
