CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Despite the implementation of enhanced community quarantine against dreaded coronavirus in this province, a drug peddler was neutralized while 8 other suspects were arrested in anti-illegal drug operations conducted by Bulacan police on Sunday (March 22).
P/Col. Lawrence Cajipe, acting Bulacan Provincial Director said the suspects identified as Robert Lopez, of legal age, was killed in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Tigbe, Norzagaray on Sunday about 7 p.m.
“The suspect is included in the Norzagaray police drug watch list,” Cajipe said.
During the transaction, Cajipe said that the suspect sensed that he was transacting with police officers, immediately the suspect drew his .38 caliber revolver and fired shots upon the officers who were forced to retaliate that resulted in the death of the suspect.
A team from Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office processed the crime scene and recovered four heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu; a unit of Caliber .38 Armscor; two empty shell of 9mm caliber and buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, eight suspects were arrested by Meycauayan Police in the act of using shabu in pot session in Brgy. Perez in the said city.
The arrested suspects were identified as Prince Onid Giroy, 18 years old; John Paul Dosdos, 23; Dick Burgos, 39; Jerome Steven Mark Cadete, 23; Ramil Navarro, 45; Kent Suplito, 23; Jhomar Singson, 38 and Chavie Flores, 26.
Authorities are conducting investigations on the drug suppliers of the arrested suspects.
Charges for violation of Section, 11 (possession), 13 (paraphernalia) and 14 (pot session and party) of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects. (RONDA BALITA Online)
