PRESIDENT Rodrigo R Duterte has approved the promotion of nine senior police officials to a higher rank in the latest round of promotion of third level Police Commissioned Officers.
The top police intelligence officer, Police Brigadier General Timoteo G Pacleb, PNP Director for Intelligence was promoted to the rank of Police Major General while the PNP spokesperson and chief publicist Police Colonel Bernard M Banac was promoted to the rank of Police Brigadier General, along with Police Colonel Walter E Castillejos, Executive Officer of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations in Northern Luzon.
Promoted to the higher rank of Police Colonel were: Police Lieutenant Colonel Hermogenes D Cabe, PLTC Benliner Capili, PLTC Edilberto DC Leonardo, PLTC Judy S Lopez, PLTC Fernando R Ortega, and PLTC Brimar F Rodica.
President Duterte approved the promotion of the nine senior PNP officials upon the endorsement of the Civil Service Commission, based on the recommendation of DILG Secretary and NAPOLCOM Chairman Eduardo M Año, and the PNP Senior Officers’ Placement and Promotion Board.
Police Major General Timoteo G Pacleb is a member of the PMA “Sinagtala” Class of 1986 and was designated to the present post as PNP Director for Intelligence on May 9, 2019, after serving as PNP Regional Director for Northern Mindanao.
Police Brigadier General Bernard M Banac was designated PNP Spokesperson and Chief of the PNP Public Information Office (PIO) on January 22, 2019. He is a member of the PMA “Tanglaw-Diwa” Class 1992.
