Duterte to abolish a commission


A whole commission will soon be abolished by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The President made the announcement during yesterday’s (Friday) 84th-anniversary celebration of the Department of Labor and Employment at the Capitol Gymnasium in this city.

The Chief Executive did not provide other details about the commission or who are its members, however, he cited that as he promised earlier that there is no room for corruption in his administration.

He also promised that corruption will be eradicated in his administration.

He cited an undersecretary of the budget department was kick out and also an official that was hired in September was removed from office because of going abroad six times without his knowledge.

On issues regarding his children, the President said that the detractors should be produced a binding document regarding their allegations and if the document is proven true said “dadalihin ko rin pati mga anak ko (I will also put the ax on my children).”

On the Mindanao peace situation, the President said that this should be addressed and warned that if it is not settled peacefully, “papasukin tayo ng ISIS (The ISIS will intervene in Mindnao).”

That is why “I am taking a step by step” approach to it to settle the problem peacefully.

On the peace talks with the communist, the President said that he has halted it, however, Bebot (Silvestre Bello III) and others can resuscitate the peace talks later.

He also reiterated that “ang talagang kalaban ay drugs (the real enemy is illegal drugs) wala akong patawad kapag tungkol dyan ( I have no mercy on drugs).”
