COTABATO CITY — A former police officer assigned with the city police office and a former soldier were arrested by joint city anti-drug enforcement unit and Police Station 3 operatives during drug buy-bust Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 14).
Chief Inspector Alex Lanestosa led the police team in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM) that arrested at about 1 p.m. Nelson Sali, 48, a former member of city police officer and Francis Cando, a former soldier, both residents of Barangay Rosary Heights Mother.
Five plastic sachets of suspected shabu and paraphernalia were confiscated from the suspects.
The arrest was preceded by month-long surveillance operations against the two believed to be members of a drug syndicate operating in the city.
