CAMP GEN. ALEJO S. SANTOS, Bulacan — An extortionist was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by personnel of Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Branch headed by Supt. Arwin M. Tadeo in Brgy, Lolomboy, Bocaue, Bulacan on Monday (Jan. 7).
P/Sr. Supt. Chito G. Bersaluna, Provincial Director, Bulacan Police Provincial Office identified the arrested suspect as Desi Arnel Villagracia y Gonzales, 36 years old, a resident of Brgy, Bunducan, Bocaue, Bulacan while his victim is a 14-year-old grade a student.
Based on the report, the suspect pretended in the Facebook Messenger as alias Ashley Domingo a Grade 5 pupil. The suspect and the victim become friends and had a conversation. Knowing that the suspect is a girl, the victim sent her photo wearing only a sports bra. When the suspect was asking for more photos, the victim refused but the suspect threatened her to spread her picture online.
On December 30, 2018, the victim sent P1,500 money to the suspect to prevent him from spreading the photo. After a few days, the suspect threatens again the victim and was asking for more money. So the victim together with his guardian asked for assistance from the Police.
About 8:30 in the morning of January 7, 2019, joint personnel of Provincial Intelligence Branch of Bulacan, WCPD-Bulacan Provincial Office Branch, and WCPD-Bocaue Municipal Police Station conducted an entrapment operation that resulted to the arrest of the suspect.
Confiscated from the suspect were a black Cherry Mobile cellular phone, a black OPPO cellular phone, a white HP 16 GB USB and the marked money that amounts to Ph3,500.00.
A criminal case for Violation of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012) and Robbery Extortion in relation to RA 7610 against the suspect are now being prepared for filing. (RONDA Balita Online News)
