CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — As the campaign to account for loose firearms and explosives intensified, authorities were able to arrest a 58-year-old farmer with an unlicensed gun and explosives thru the implementation of a search warrant in Nueva Ecija on Tuesday (March 30).
Based on the report of P/Col. Jaime Santos, acting Nueva Ecija provincial director, joint personnel of Gapan City PS and CIDG NE PFU under the overall supervision of P/Lt. col. Edilmar Alviar, acting chief of police, Gapan CPS implemented Search Warrant issued by Hon. Elenita N Evangelista-Casipit, Executive Judge of Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, for violation of 10591 against Arthur Cruz y Pangilinan, 58 yrs old, farmer, married, and a resident of Brgy. Mangino, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija.
Seized from his possession were one color gold Smith and Wesson cal .38 revolver without serial no., with three live ammunition in its cylinder, two rifle grenades, one M203 grenade, and thirty-one pcs live ammunition of cal.45.
“We have been continuously beefing up our aggressive drive to recover and to seize loose firearms through continuous police operations and implementation of Search Warrants against illegal gun owners. May this serve as a stern warning to all especially those who have not yet renewed their licenses or turned-over their undocumented firearms in their nearest police stations for safekeeping.
