GUIGUINTO, Bulacan – The chief of police of this town was
commended by government employees and teachers from Tiaong National High School for coming up with an innovative approach in combating criminal activities as well as in the maintenance of peace and order in this town.
Government employees made the remark during the Executive, Legislative Agenda Meeting held at Guiguinto Municipal Athletic and Cultural Center at Brgy. Poblacion, where the police chief was one of the speaker.
P/Supt. Orlando L. Castil Jr., has come up with a “CALL-TEXT BRIGADE, Impormasyon at Krimen Agad i-Bato mo” campaign where in the police chief posting of Call-Text Brigade tarpaulins along areas near schools and places of convergence with bearing his numbers and the anti-crime campaign of the Guiguinto police.
This project according to Castil, aims to help and provide the public Police Assistance in a timely manner. This will also aid in formulating strategic anti-criminality plans to thwart criminals and maintain peace and order within the municipality at all times.
He said with this approach, the public can inform, give tips or seek police assistance directly to the police chief or in our police station.
He also encouraged Tokhang surrendered and the community to be involved in sports and not on drugs thru “Oplan Golden Shield” BKD or Bola Kaysa Droga.
In a dialogue recently with the Municipal Mayor Ambrosio Cruz and representatives from the Department of Education regarding enhancing the security measures in school premises and the conduct of drug Awareness programs among students within the municipality as part of Guiguinto Golden Shield
The police chief said that they also conducted school security inspection/survey of rooms and buildings at different schools within Guiguinto, Bulacan to assess the security measures implemented by the school and to identify the strengths as well as the areas that needs improvement for better security within the school vicinity.
Castil mentioned during the dialogue that several suspected drug dealers were neutralized and some were arrested in a series of operations and are now facing drug pushing charges. He added that public participation and the support of local and village officials is now making headways in preventing and combating crimes and other illegal activities.
