CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — A thirty-five years old suspected member of a crime syndicate was arrested wherein assorted firearms and P500,000 worth of shabu were seized in a buy bust and search warrant operation conducted by Plaridel police on Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 4).
Bulacan PNP Director PCol. Emma M. Libunao identified the arrested suspect as Israel Jake Buhain, 35, of said place and son of a former policeman.
Investigation showed that Plaridel Police led by P/Lt. Col. Victorino Valdez raided the house of the suspect at around 2:30 p.m. after a positive buy-bust was earlier held against the suspect.
The operatives armed by Search Warrant (SW) issued by Judge Crisostomo Danguilan of Branch 21 Regional Trial Court (RTC) City of Malolos accompanied by Barangay Captain Crispin Sevilla and other village officials were able to recovered from Buhain found in his room five short firearms and replicas of long firearms and over one hundred grams of suspected shabu worth P500, 000 and cash amounting to P160,840.
Prior to the seized drugs and firearms, a positive buy-bust operation was earlier conducted against the suspect prompting the police operatives to manage a Search Warrant.
“Hindi inaasahan ng ating mga pulis na ganito karami ang droga at mga baril na makukuha.. bigtime ito and most probably involved siya sa ibat-ibang illegal activities such as gun-running,” Libunao said.
Buhain and his 12-year old daughter are only present when the police raided the house. (RONDA BALITA Online)
