CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Around 1,500 members of the break-away group of the Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay) based in Pandi town conducted a rally on Sunday in the said town to denounce their former colleagues.
Col. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, said the ralliers converged at the Pandi 2 Residences Covered Court in Barangay Mapulang Lupa in the said town.
The break-away group is denouncing the alleged illegal fee collections, youth recruitment in their communities for the CPP-NPA- NDF, and deceptions allegedly being committed by its local leader Pat topaz and national leader Bea Arellano to their members, Bersaluna said.
He added that the break-away group also burned their Kadamay identification cards and flags.
The break-away group is headed by Jeffry Ariz, who also led a similar rally on October 29, 2018, at the Freedom Park in Barangay Bunsuran 1stin Pandi town.
Pat Tupaz, Kadamay Pandi leader, denied the accusations claiming he had for years been fighting for the rights of the urban poor and stressed that “hindi ko magagawa yan.” (RONDA Balita Online News)
