PANDI, Bulacan — Members of the Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay) conducted an indignation rally on Monday morning (Oct. 29) inside the compound of the occupied housing units of its break-away group.
The rally was held at the Pandi Residence 3 in Barangay Mapulang Lupa in Pandi town and was spearheaded by Gloria ‘Ka Bea” Arellano, Kadamay national chairperson, and Pat Tupaz, Kadamay Pandi chapter head and was joined by around 200 of its members, Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director said.
Arellano said the break-away group, headed by Jeffry Ariz, was formed by the military, police and the Duterte administration to discredit their group.
On Sunday morning, Ariz group conducted an indignation rally at the Freedom Park in Barangay Bunsuran 1st in Pandi town against Kadamay claiming the said group is a front of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) and that its leadership is being beset by corruptions and other negative issues.
Arellano vehemently denied yesterday that they are affiliated with the CPP-NPA and disputed the claims of Ariz that NPA doctrines are being taught to Kadamay members.
On the other hand, Tupaz told RONDA Balita Online News that Ariz’s group was a form of an attack against the Kadamay group to spawn dissent among the ranks of its urban-poor members.
This was made to divert the issues on the government’s housing problems and pave the way for the government to impose martial law nationwide, Tupaz added
As Arellano was delivering her speech, Ariz’s group brought out streamers they used in denouncing Kadamay on Sunday and a sound system and played loud music to drown out the program of Kadamay.
The heckling between the two groups lasted of less than an hour until Kadamay members peacefully left the place. (RONDA Balita Online News)
