Kaligtasan and Kalikasan (‘KALIGKASAN’) launched in Bulacan

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — “KALIGKASAN” (Kaligtasan at Kalikasan) program launched in Bulacan at Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, City of Malolos on Thursday.

Bulacan Police led by P/Col. Chito G. Bersaluna took part and led the launching and oath taking of Kaligtasan and Kalikasan (KALIGKASAN) Volunteers.

“The Kaligkasan program is a project of the PNP, which taps local volunteers and mobilize them as force multipliers to complement the existing tourist-oriented police for community order and protect personnel in the enforcement environmental laws at different tourist destinations in Bulacan,” Bersaluna said.

Force multipliers from different Municipalities and Cities in Bulacan pledge their commitment to being an environmental steward through the mass oath-taking in which they pledge to give importance to nature and help in giving security to tourists who come by their respective places.

The said launching was attended by P/Col. Rhoderick A. Armamento, DRDO, PRO3 with Director Arthur C. Salazar, CESO IV, for Technical Services, DENR RO3 and Elizabeth M. Apresto of Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office as the guest of honor and speakers.

“Environmental conservation is everybody’s commitment and shared responsibilities of government agencies tasked to protect and preserve our natural resources. Hand and hand we endeavor to safeguard Mother Nature so that future generation will still be able to experience its beauty and abundance,” Armamento said. (RONDA Balita Online News)
