The President of the City College of San Jose Del Monte was a consistent honor student from primary school to secondary level, an academic scholar in his bachelor’s degrees, and graduated with honors in his Master’s degree in Educational Management. He acquired his Doctorate Degree (Ph. D.) in Development Administration in 2009.
After completing his first Masteral Degree in Psychology, he started working in the Institute of Labor and Manpower Studies as a Training Officer, then eventually as a Senior Human Resources Development Officer and Senior Project Planning Specialist at the Department of Labor and Employment. He lectures at the Lyceum of the Philippines, Arellano University, FEU-FERN and Far Eastern University- Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, while simultaneously serving as President in various private corporations. He also was a post-graduate professor at the St. Paul University-Manila and Philippine Christian University and a visiting doctoral professor at the St. Paul University- Surigao City.
Dr, Booth also has to his credit authorship of books in psychology and philosophy and, being a licensed Real Estate Broker, edited a book on Philippine Real Estate. He also one of the country’s few experts in memorial park business and development.
In 2006, he rejoined government service as Political Affairs Officer at the House of Representatives where he acquired his skills and experience in law-making. With his experience in the academe and the government. City Mayor Arturo B. Robes undoubtedly choose Dr. Dennis M. Booth as best fitted City Administrator of the ‘Rising City.’ He introduced good practices and materialized theories such as Start, Stop, Continue (SSC) and Blue Ocean Strategy during the Annual Investment and Comprehensive Development Planning. First time in the history of the City Government, that an academician applied his theories with experience, knowledge, and skills in planning the program and projects of the City.
Consequently, Mayor Robes banked his expertise in establishing the City College of San Jose Del Monte, his dream when he was still a congressman. They shared the same vision as included in the pillars of good governance, Then, in 2017, the City College of San Jose Del Monte was born, with Dr. Booth as its founding President, from the enactment of its charter to the construction of its buildings, and the formulation of its curriculum, Dr. Dennis Booth was hands-on.
As envisioned by the College President, City College will be offering Senior High School, Technical Vocational Programs, and baccalaureate courses in the future.
