Likha ng Central Luzon hails Bulacan MSME as top seller

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Joyful Garden Farm Organic Farmers Association, Inc. of Bulacan was hailed as the Top Seller during the opening of “Likha ng Central Luzon 2018” at the Megatrade Hall 2, 5th Level Mega B at SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City on Wednesday.

The said micro, small, and medium enterprise from the town of San Ildefonso was previously recognized as the top seller in 2016 wherein it earned P3,966,423 and took home a plaque of recognition.

For the year 2017, which was recognized this 2018, the Joyful Garden Farm Organic Farmers Association, Inc. earned P5,931,700 and received a plaque of recognition.

Their products include different varieties of healthy grains like brown, red, black, pink and blended rice.

Also, Edelyn’s Homemade Nuts and Florida Lubao ONP Farmers Association from Pampanga were awarded as the 2nd and 3rd Top Sellers wherein they earned P3,740,828 and P 3,064,248 respectively.

Other products in the trade fair include processed food, housewares, ceramics, jewelries, fashion accessories, bags, footwear, gift items and Christmas decorations from the six provinces of Central Luzon including Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales.

For his part, Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado extended his gratitude to the organizer of the said trade fair for their continuous support to Bulacan MSMEs that helps in the promotion of Bulakenyo products.

According to Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (PHILEXPORT) 3 President Francis Joseph Torres, around 167 exhibitors joined the trade fair compared to 151 exhibitors that participated last year.

Meanwhile, Department of Trade and Industry Asec. Demphna Du-naga, the guest of honor, said that the trade fair aims to promote the products from Central Luzon in the whole country and even in other countries around the world.

“To ensure the good quality of the products, all the exhibitors must undergo training, product development, packaging, mentoring and labeling so that they will also be able to sell their products to institutional buyers,” Du-naga said.

Other guests who graced the event were Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Director Zorina Aldana, Angeles City, Pampanga Mayor and Regional Development Council 3 Chairman Edgardo Pamintuan, Tarlac Governor and Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc. President Susan Yap, and DTI Regional Director Judith Angeles among others.

The said trade fair is a project of DTI in partnership with the Regional Development Council 3, PHILEXPORT, Megatrade Hall and SM Mega Mall that will run till October 14, 2018. (RONDA Balita Online News)
