CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan, — Public transport in this city will now be less stressful with yesterday blessing of the Malolos City Central Transport Terminal in Barangay Bulihan.
The occasion also marks the start of the fun-filled, educational, historical and cultural week-long celebration of Fiesta Republic that will culminate on January 23 that commemorates the establishment of the First Philippine Republic by the Malolos Congress.
Malolos City Mayor Christian Natividad said the project was constructed at a cost of P350 million through a
public-private partnership with Xentro Mall. The structure’s first floor will serve as the central terminal for all public utility vehicles and public stores while the second floor will serve as business offices and call center office that is soon to be inaugurated and expected to provide at least 3,200 job opportunities to the Bulakenyos.
Butch Aldaba, the City Economic and Enterprise Development Office (CEEDO) chief, explained that the
project was planned, conceptualized and negotiated by city officials and NEDA for four long years.
Aldaba also thanked the group of Xentro Mall for believing the vision of the city government and invested 350 million for this particular project.
On the other hand, Mr. Alexander Cruz, of Xentro Mall, said: “this is only the beginning of a good partnership.
After the groundbreaking ceremony of the central terminal, the 7th Fiesta Republica 2018 formally started the program thru the launching of Vamos A Malolos at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center and
exhibit, painting, sculpture and photos that showcases and celebrates the historic City of Malolos, and its people, the Maloleños who have played a significant role in our country’s epic struggle for freedom. (RONDA Balita Online News)
