Motorcycle thief killed, 14 others arrested on the 3rd day of Bulacan police SACLEO

CAMP GEN ALEJO S SANTOS, Bulacan — A motorcycle thief was neutralized while 14 were held on the 3rd day of Bulacan PNP Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) on Thursday (Jan. 31).

P/Sr. Supt. Chito G. Bersaluna, Provincial Director, Bulacan PNP, said that an unidentified motorcycle thief was neutralized upon evading a checkpoint manned by Bulacan Cops in Brgy. Maguinao, San Rafael, Bulacan on January 31, 2019, about 12:45 a.m.

Based on the report of PSupt. Victorino Valdez, San Rafael chief of police, they conducted hot pursuit operation upon receipt of a report that a black, red, and orange combination Rusi motorcycle was forcibly taken from the victim in Brgy. Diliman 1st, San Rafael by two (2) unidentified motorcycle thief.

Upon reaching the vicinity of Garden Breeze Subd. at Brgy. Maguinao, San Rafael, the suspects were intercepted by a Mobile Patrol Unit of San Rafael PS who was at that time were conducting a Comelec Checkpoint along Cagayan Valley Road, Brgy. Cruz na Daan, San Rafael Bulacan.

The 2 suspects fired at the pursuing police officers prompting them to fire back which resulted to the death of one of the suspects, while his other cohort managed to escape.

Visible from the crime scene were 1 Armscor caliber .38 revolver without serial number, one (1) Rusi motorcycle without plate number, 1 Honda TMX motorized tricycle with body number 0938, 3 empty shells for cal. 9mm and two empty shells for caliber .45.

Follow-up operation was immediately conducted for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspect.

Bersaluna added that 7 other drug suspects were arrested during anti-illegal drug sting by Santa Maria, Hagonoy, Plaridel, and Pandi MPS. They were identified as Natalio Ocampo Jr., RJ Valdez, Jeffrey Makalinaw, Johnson Paloma, Arjhan Fabian, Mark Arvin Co, and Edwin Sayo.

Confiscated were 27 plastic sachets of “shabu” and buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory for appropriate examination, while criminal charges against them are now being prepared for filing in court.

Meanwhile, 6 wanted persons were put behind bars by virtue of Warrant of Arrest during different manhunt operations conducted by the tracker teams of Malolos, San Jose Del Monte, San Ildefonso, Norzagaray, and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC).

They were identified as 1) Cristan Samson y Sarrondo, 20 years old, arrested in Brgy. Poblacion, San Ildefonso, Bulacan for Slight Physical Injury with Criminal Case number 2018-67 with bail of P3,000; 2) Rolly Benitez y Caballero, 33 years old, arrested in Baltazar, Brgy. Bigte, Norzagaray, Bulacan for the crime of Rape in Relation to RA 7610 with no bail recommended; 3) Angelito Brillantes y Carreon, 73 years old, arrested in Barangay Bancal, Meycauayan City, Bulacan for Violation of BP 22 with case number 96-20178 with recommended bail of P6,000; 4) Reynaldo Cano y Dela Luna alias Ryan, 31 years old, arrested in Brgy. Guinhawa, Malolos City, Bulacan for Robbery with Criminal Case Number 8346-M-2018 with recommended bail P100,000; 5) Arnold David y Aballa, 38 years old, arrested in Baltazar, Brgy. Bigte, Norzagaray, Bulacan for Theft with Criminal Case No. 2018-SJ-0001 with P6,000 recommended bail; 6) Rustin Payumo y Orilla, 19 years old, arrested in Brgy Lapnit, San Ildefonso, Bulacan for Slight Physical Injury with Criminal Case number 2018-67 with a bail of P3,000.

In a police response, Bong Paragas y Bartolome, 24-year-old, a resident of Brgy. Sta. Rosa II, Marilao, Bulacan was arrested by authorities of Brgy. San Vicente, Sta. Maria, Bulacan for theft and was turned over to Santa Maria PNP. (RONDA Balita Online News)
