CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — A P1-million pesos bounty is up for anyone who could give vital information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects and fast track the solution in the killing of Ronaldo Rivera, the incumbent Brgy. Captain of Brgy. San Jose Baliwag, and P200-thousand bounty for the suspects in the killing of Lemelif Reyes.
P/Col. Chito G. Bersaluna, Provincial Director of Bulacan PNP said that the two victims were killed by gunmen in separate incidents in Baliwag on September 9 and 10 respectively.
Based on the report on Sept. 9 at about 12:00 p.m. victim Barangay Capt. Ronaldo Rivera is on-board his white delivery truck to deliver sand in Brgy. Tarcan.
“When he arrived at the house to where the sand will be delivered, two unidentified armed men alighted from a motorcycle and went near the victim’s truck and shot him causing his instant death,” Bersaluna said.
Meanwhile, on Sept. 10, another victim Lemelif Reyes was about to buy food in an eatery at A Mabini St., Brgy Sabang, Baliwag, Bulacan when an armed suspect shot him several times that resulted to his death.
Immediately, Bersaluna ordered the creation of a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) for the conduct of exhaustive investigation leading to the resolution of these cases.
“A dedicated tracker team from Baliuag MPS is on the look to track the whereabouts of the suspects. The retrieved CCTV footages have been used to gather information on the identity of the possible killers/mastermind,” Bersaluna added.
Baliwag police already looking into certain persons of interest who have been captured in the CCTV. They are zeroing on different angels that may shed light behind these incidents.
Bulacan police will remain relentless in its follow-up investigation and operations and are leaving no stones unturned for the resolution of these cases and ensure that perpetrators are arrested and justice is given to the victims and their families.
