CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Some P800,000 worth of marijuana with a weight of more or less seven kilograms was seized in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Tuktukan, Guiguinto on Wednesday evening (Nov. 25).
Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan Provincial Director said on Thursday morning (Nov. 26) that the operation also resulted in the arrest John Frederick Palaje, John Elbern Castro, both are from San Juan, Balagtas, and Fernan Pacson, of Tiaong, Guiguinto, Bulacan.
Based on the report according to Cajipe, a joint police operation of the Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Guiguinto police and Provincial Intelligence Unit, was conducted a buy-bust operation in the said barangay wherein an undercover intelligence operative who acted as poseur buyer was able to buy two pieces of a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of containing dried “marijuana” leaves from the suspects.
A total of seven more blocks of dried marijuana leaves were recovered from the possession of the suspects with an estimated weight of more or less 7 kilos and corresponding Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P800,000 and one Kawasaki BAJAJ motorcycle with sidecar without plate number.
Cajipe said the three suspects and the evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for laboratory for documentation and proper disposition.
Complaints for violation of Section 5 in relation to Sections 26 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were filed against the three suspects.
