CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- The Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Asean Security Task Force commends and recognizes the sterling commitment and exemplary dedication to duty of PO1 Mark A. Mendoza who died in line of duty while rendering route security and traffic assistance to ensure the smooth flow of the 11th ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting (ADMM) – 2017 Asean Summit along Post 83, North Luzon Expressway Southbound, Brgy. Lias, Marilao, Bulacan amidst a heavy downpour.
PO1 Mendoza who went into a coma after accidentally being hit by a white 2017 Toyota Hi-ace van driven by Marcial Mayola, 58-years-old, married driver and a resident of Blk 1, Lot 4, Phase 2, Pabahay 2000, Brgy. Muzon, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan last Monday, October 16, 2017, passed away earlier this morning, (October 19) at the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center, Blumentritt St., Sta Cruz, Manila.
PRO3 Regional Director, PCSupt. Amador V. Corpuz said “we are saddened by this eventuality and express our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family of the late PO1 Mendoza. As the PNP recognizes the efforts of our men and women in the performance of their jobs, we will extend our support and give the necessary assistance to his surviving family”.
He also added, “for the part of Police Regional Office 3, I will see to it that he will get all the benefits he is entitled to. While we cannot avoid unfortunate incidents like this, we will not falter to carry out our mandated tasks of maintaining peace and order and ensuring public safety and security especially now that we are hosting an international event”.
