CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — As the month-long celebration of the 25th Police Community Relations with this year’s theme “ Pinaigting na Ugnayan ng Mamayan at Pulisya, Laban sa Covid-19 Pandemya” culminates, Police Regional Office 3 held a program on Thursday, (July 30) at the Makatao Activity Center, Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
DILG Usec Jonathan Maglaya joined in the program via Zoom while NAPOLCOM 3 Regional Director, Director Rodolfo Santos Jr was present during the activity.
It was highlighted by the presentation of awards to deserving PRO3 commissioned and non- commissioned PNP personnel which was duly recognized by the PNP-National Headquarters.
Among the National Awardees were: Brig. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia, Regional Director, PRO3-National Awardee for “Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko; Col. David Poklay, Provincial Director, Tarlac PPO-Outstanding PCR Senior Police Commissioned Officer and national awardee for the same category; Major Jim Tayag, Tarlac PPO-Outstanding Junior Police Commissioned Officer and national awardee for the same category and PMSg Lady Lyreas B Valdez, Mayantoc MPS, Tarlac PPO – Outstanding Police Non-Commissioned Officer and national awardee for the same category.
Meanwhile, among all the Police Regional Offices nationwide, PRO3 also topped the “Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko” program of the PNP thru its Rektang bayanihan Adopt a Family program.
The month-long celebration includes different activities that highlighted the importance of a solid partnership between the police and the community in the effective maintenance of peace and order and community development.
Annually, the month of July is declared as Police Community Relations Month with the National Police Commission as its lead agency. (RONDA BALITA Online)
