CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The City of San Fernando and Kikugawa City in Japan will be partnering on technology advancement, provision of technical assistance, and modernization of agriculture particularly the production of green tea.
“Kikugawa City is renowned for tea production so their officials have expressed willingness to export their green tea products here. They want San Fernando to introduce green tea production in the Philippines through the establishment of tea stores and shops in the city,” Mayor Edwin Santiago said.
He furthered that the local chamber of commerce, together with city division chiefs, will embark on a business trip to Japan to discuss in full about this possible economic and trade partnership.
In turn, officials from Japan are also expected to visit San Fernando to benchmark on the city’s best practices in doing business. (RONDA Balita Online News)
