CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Senator Cynthia Villar together with Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado and Vice Governor Daniel R. Fernando led the ribbon cutting ceremony of Hiyas ng Bulacan Museum and the Nicanor Abelardo Auditorium in this city, Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Officer said on Friday.
“Now, after renovation, this auditorium can occupy 140-150 persons that can be used for performances, mini-programs, short film viewing, stage plays, and other small productions. It is airconditioned and has comfortable seats so that everybody can feel at home,” Dr. Eliseo S. Dela Cruz, PHACTO chief added.
He also said that before exploring the historical places in the province, tourists should visit the Hiyas ng Bulacan Museum first because all the historical narratives about the province can be found in the museum.
Dela Cruz added that the museum and the auditorium are open to all Bulakenyos and to those who want to know and learn more about the history of Bulacan.
The ceremony was also attended by Cong. Lorna C. Silverio of the Third District of Bulacan and President and CEO of Robinsons Land Corporation Frederick D. Go.
The museum and the auditorium were built in 1971 and housed many programs including theatre acts of Barasoain Kalinangan Foundation Inc. and other Bulakenyo artists. It was renovated in 2017. (RONDA Balita Online News)
